Tips @ Filling Fuel in your Vehicles

TwitThis

FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD.

Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening, your litre is not exactly a litre. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL.

The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP.

Most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

"Caution: There is Another anti-Islamic Site" - by Khalid Baig

TwitThis

"Caution: There is Another anti-Islamic Site"
Why issuing an alert letter is precisely the wrong thing to do
"The most anti-Islamic site will die if it faces a frozen counter. That would happen if you just leave it alone. But if you are out there telling everyone about it and asking them to do the same, you are in effect volunteering as their publicity department."
By Khalid Baig, 7 December 2001
The alert letters keep coming. Beware here is the latest anti-Islamic site. Then a URL so you can verify that it is indeed as described. Then a passionate request to tell all the Muslims in the world about it.
Sincere. Misguided. Counter-productive.
Little do the senders realize that they are actually helping the very sites they are trying to fight.
The failure is in realizing that the Internet is a very different medium and the rules that applied to the previous media do not always apply here. If there is a bad magazine or book out there, you can tell others about it. We can be sure that nobody will rush to the closest bookseller to buy it. The warning may be useful, if there was a chance that some people could have bought the book out of ignorance.
In the click-click world of the Internet, the first thing most people will do is to click on the URL, thereby increasing the hit counts and boasting the morale of the site owners. Second, it will help it with search engine placement, as some of them will use the increased curiosity traffic as a sign of popularity. You just helped create the monster you wanted to fight!
It is common sense. If you don't want people to visit a site, just don't tell them about it.
It is very easy to setup a page on the Internet. It is very difficult to draw traffic to it. The most anti-Islamic site will die if it faces a frozen counter. That would happen if you just leave it alone. But if you are out there telling everyone about it and asking them to do the same, you are in effect volunteering as their publicity department. That is exactly what they need.
If there is a well-established site (like CNN) it makes sense to launch a protest campaign. But for most of the sites the prudent course is just the opposite. Leave it alone. Let it die of neglect. A natural death. The greater the lack of attention, the faster will be the death of this would be monster.
So the next time you receive an alert letter about an anti-Islamic site, just delete it. If you respond to the sender, do not include the original text of his alert email, because even that may help some search engine ranking.
There were dozens of anti-Islamic sites that sprang up recently but died soon after because, luckily, our enthusiasts had not noticed them and had not publicized them through their alert letters. The ones that receive the alert letter mention will, unfortunately, survive and may thrive.
On the Internet, the best use of your energies is to promote the good Islamic sites. Let the good drive out the evil.
Now, may we request that you send this article to all your friends?
I found this article to be useful. Thought of sharing it in my blog.

The Click-Click World

TwitThis

I got this mail stating that "The following sites are anti-Islamic so dont trust the contents of those sites. And please inform others not to do so and forward this to all". It wasn’t for the first time. I got such mails many times. I replied not to send such mails, but I repeatedly get such forwards. I dont know how to respond to such people.
What happens is, out of curiosity one happens to see such sites and look into the content to judge if it is really an anti-so-snd-so site. They dont know that indirectly they are contributing in spreading these sites (if at all they are anti-so-and-so) and making them popular.
Firstly, these sites get popular by sending to many people or users. Many people get to know about these sites. Secondly they dont know that each Click to that site gets counted and since the hit-count gets increased the site gets popular in the internet world. As the site gets popular by the increased hit-count it gets into the search sites. And if a person who happens to find about a particular thing, for example - about Islam, he may land up getting wrong information.
So it is better these kind of sites (if they are really anti-so-and-so) should be ignored and let them die their natural death.

VERY GOOD COMPARISON

TwitThis

I got this as a forward in a mail. Thought of sharing it with others. Indeed it is a point to ponder...

Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith
But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist!

Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God
But when Muslimah does the same she's oppressed

When a western woman stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected      because of sacrificing herself
But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"!

Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?
But when Muslim Girl/Lady wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university!

When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential
But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless!
WHY

When a Christian or a Jew kills someone religion is not mentioned, but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial!
When someone sacrfices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect him.
But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim!

When there is a trouble we accept any solution? If the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it
When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blames the car .
But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner -   people say "Islam is the reason"!

Without looking to the tradition of Islam, people believe what the newspapers say.
But question what the Quran says!
